Terms and Conditions

By reserving a Vacation Rental at Dover Bay Resort, the Guest agrees to the following:

Reservations: Guests are responsible for the number of nights reserved. If the guest is unable to use the entire reservation, payment of all nights is still required. There will be no refunds for late arrivals, early departures, or for leaving the home for mechanical failure of non-essential items. Renters must be at least 25 years old.

Check-in Procedure: Check in begins at 4 PM on the day of your arrival. A Welcome packet will be placed directly at your bungalow door. It will contain keys to the bungalow, a Fitness Center Key and parking permits. Directions to the Market are emailed to you at time of booking. Our housekeeping and maintenance personnel must provide services to each home between occupancies to prepare for incoming guests. Sometimes, due to unforeseen circumstances, the home may not be ready right at 4 PM. This rarely occurs, but we do apologize in advance if this does happen.

Check-out Procedure: Check out time is 11 AM on the date of your departure. Please follow instructions given in your Welcome packet as to what you need to do upon departure. Your key card will deactivate at 11 AM unless a late check out is granted*. Please leave the two door keys and the Fitness Center key on the kitchen table.

*To request a late check out, please call the front desk 24 hours before your departure to see if a late check out is available.
If no one is arriving to the home we can permit a "complimentary" 12 PM check out.
For $100 we can allow a 2 PM check out if no one is arriving to the home.
If you want to stay later than 2 PM, we will charge for another night's stay.

Advanced Rent Payments: A 50% reservation deposit must be received at the time of booking to confirm a reservation.

Balance Due: Balance due, including taxes, cleaning fees, any handling fees and any and all fees for goods or services as shown, must be received by Dover Bay Resort 30 days prior to arrival. The remaining balance of your reservation will be charged to the card we have on file. Please call our office to make alternate payment arrangements if this will not work for you. If the arrival date is within 30 days of the date you are making the reservation, the reservation amount will be due in full at booking time, on a non-refundable basis.

Travel Insurance: Vacation Rental Insurance has been made available with your reservation. Vacation Rental Insurance provides coverage for prepaid, non-refundable expenses due to certain unforeseeable circumstances that may jeopardize your vacation investment and force you to incur unplanned expenses. We strongly recommend you purchase this valuable protection. Separate terms and conditions apply. Read your Description of Coverage/Policy carefully and contact CSA at (866) 999-4018 with coverage questions.

Cancellations and Refunds: Dover Bay Resort has a 30-Day cancellation policy. There will be a full charge if no show or if canceled with less than a 30-Day notice of your reservation. Guest is responsible for nights book if within the 30 days of check in. A $50.00 administrative fee will be applied to any cancellation. All cancellations must be made by a phone call 208-263-5493.

Accommodations Capacity: The number of occupants should not exceed the maximum occupancy as stated under each Bungalow listing. Dover Bay Resort will not allow overcrowding of the Bungalow beyond the existing bedding. Exceeding the stated maximum occupancy will result in a $ 350.00 fee. No motor homes, campers, tents are allowed on the premises for the purpose of extra sleeping capacity.

Pet Policy: We are a dog-friendly community and look forward to hosting your stay. Dogs are the only pets allowed. We welcome you to bring your dog to stay in one of our dedicated pet-friendly bungalows. -friendly Bungalows require a $35.00 per pet/per night fee. Some bungalows allow 2 pets and some allow 1 pet only. Maximum weight of dog or combined weight of 2 dogs must not exceed 75 pounds. s are not allowed on any furniture unless covered with a pet sheet that is provided at check-in. Pets ARE NOT allowed on the beds. If management discovers that a pet has been or is still in a home without prior approval, or find indications that the pet has been on beds a $350.00 fee will be charged for deep cleaning, and damages. Guests are solely responsible for the behavior and any damage that is caused by the pet. Dogs may not be left unattended in bungalows, homes, garages, vehicles or outdoors anywhere while in Dover Bay. If dog is left in a bungalow unattended in the bungalows, it must be crated. owners are required to have their pet on a leash at all times when they are outside. receptacles are located throughout the resort and bags are provided. When walking your pet around the grounds, please clean up their “business” for the benefit of others. If not picked up, $25 will be charged to the card on file.

Termination of Agreement: If the Guest or any member of his or her party violates any of the terms of this agreement, Dover Bay Resort may terminate this lease with no refund, and may enter the premises and remove the Guest, and the members of his or her party and their belongings.

Tax: All rates are subject to Idaho Sales Tax.

Housekeeping: Bungalows are thoroughly cleaned before each guest’s arrival. Additional fresh linens or towels are available by calling the market at 208-263-5493. If cleaning is requested during a stay, housekeepers are available for an extra charge. Beach towels are NOT provided but may be purchased at the market.

Cleaning Fee: All reservations include an initial cleaning fee. Staff will arrive upon your departure to thoroughly clean and inspect the home. Any charges for excessive damages will be charged to the card we have on file. We understand that accidents can happen. All food and drink spills should be cleaned up as they occur. Please DO NOT use guest linens/towels to clean up any accidents as additional fees will be charged to the guests’ account. Please call the front desk for cleaning solutions and towels. Food and drink spills on carpet are considered to be damage, not normal wear and tear, and additional cleaning charges for Professional cleaning will be charged to the card on file. There will be an additional cleaning fee charged if the Bungalow is left excessively dirty.
Items Left Behind: Dover Bay Resort cannot be held responsible for items left in the Bungalows. Every attempt will be made to locate lost items, but there is no guarantee that they will be found. Please double check your Bungalow for personal items prior to departure. If we are asked to return items to you, there will be a $20 fee plus a shipping fee. After 14 days items will be taken by management to Goodwill.

Care of Property: Guest is expected to care for the property as if it were their own. Guest acknowledges that unless Dover Bay Resort is notified on day of check in of any damage or cleaning concerns, then thereafter, all damages or concerns to the property during the occupancy will be the Guest’s responsibility and must be reported to Dover Bay Resort and paid prior to departure. Guests agree to be financially responsible for any and all damages either willful or accidental with in the course of occupancy. Occupants are required to report any damages immediately. Rearranging of furniture is not permitted.

Campers/Motor Homes/ Tents: Campers, motor homes or the use of tents on the Bungalow’s property is strictly prohibited. Sorry, no exceptions.

Boat Trailers: At Dover Bay Resort, we have designated parking for trailers. Please let us know if you need parking or storage for your boat trailer.

Moorage: Boat Moorage is available for a nightly fee for our Vacation Rental Guests. Call (208)263-5493 to reserve a spot.

Smoking Policy: All Bungalows at Dover Bay Resort are non-smoking/non-vaping. Smoking/vaping is allowed outside. Please pick up the cigarette butts, an additional charge may result if butts are found outside. There will be an additional charge of $250.00 if smoking/vaping occurs within the bungalow.

Candles: No candles or open flames allowed inside the Bungalows.

Construction: As Dover Bay continues to grow, construction may be taking place next to or near the Bungalow you rent. Unfortunately, we cannot predict the location of all construction sites and we will not make refunds because of construction activity.

Fireworks: Use of fireworks is prohibited on the property, including decks, docks, walkways, driveways, and yards.

Alcohol Policy: If alcohol is brought in, please be responsible and clean. The undersigned is responsible for any misconduct by anyone on the property at any time during occupancy. Please no glass containers and do not let anyone drink and drive.

Quiet Hours: For guest’s enjoyment and the enjoyment of others, please respect the quiet times between 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM.

Lake Club Fitness Center and Pool: The use of the Lake Club Fitness Center & Pool is for registered guests and members only. Outside guests are not allowed. Please observe the posted rules for your own safety. No pets are permitted in the pool area. Children must be supervised by an adult at all times. No Glass Containers, Drugs, or Smoking. You cannot use the Facilities or engage in any activity at Dover Bay Lake Club while under the influence of drugs or medication. Dover Bay Lake Club does not permit smoking, vaping or excessive consumption of alcohol. No glass is allowed on the pool deck for safety reasons. No inflatables are allowed in the pool. Any fence jumping will result in the deactivation of the guests’ pool key and they will not be allowed use of the pool for the remainder of their stay. The Lake Club Fitness Center is open from 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM. Please check with the Market for the current pool and hot tub hours. Hours may fluctuate with season and inclement weather.

Maintenance: From time to time, it may be necessary for us to enter the vacation home during reasonable hours for any purpose connected with the repair, care or management of the property. If this is necessary, we will make every effort not to disrupt your vacation. Every effort is made to keep each property and its equipment in good working order. Please notify our check-in office of any difficulty you incur during your stay so repairs can be made. We will make every effort to eliminate any problems or have repairs made as soon as possible. Please bear in mind that we have limited resources here in the Sandpoint area, and cannot guarantee 24-hour repair services. A little patience will help each of us! No rebates will be made for mechanical failures or malfunctions, unfavorable weather, early departure, interruption of utilities, maintenance problems or construction in the area. As Dover Bay continues to grow, construction will continue throughout the community, please be advised.

Satellite/Cable TV/Internet/WIFI: These amenities are provided and service level has been chosen by Dover Bay Resort. No refund shall be given due to outages, content, lack of content, speed, access problems, or lack of knowledge of use.

Furnishings and Equipment: The Bungalows have fully equipped kitchens but no dishwasher. Color TV’s, air conditioning, bath towels and bed linens are in each unit. Cribs are available upon request. Complimentary starter supplies of paper towels, bath tissues and soaps are provided at check-in. Additional supplies may be purchased at the Dover Bay Market.
You will want to bring these items with you: Condiments, spices, baby equipment, personal toiletries, beach towels and equipment, foil, plastic wrap, food storage containers.

Barbeque Grill: There are seasonal barbeque grills located throughout the beach bungalows.
